WORLD CHAMPION

World Champion is my psych-soul-disco outfit, which I formed with my best buddy Julian Sudek (Genesis Owusu, Bag Raiders and Royel Otis). I am the singer, songwriter, instrumentalist and co-producer of the project.

Alongside Flume, Flight Facilities and G-Flip, we’re signed with electronic music label, Future Classic (based in Sydney and LA). Since we released our debut EP, Avocado Galaxy, it’s been a raucous journey which has seen us touring Australia, NZ and the US with some of our favourite artists. We’ve found ourselves recording in Mac Demarco’s garage in Silver Lake (LA), performing to thousands of people at Splendour In The Grass and even meeting one keen fan who decided to get an Avocado Galaxy tattooed to his arm.

We’ve garnered praise from notable music publications both domestically and abroad, as well as regular rotation on Triple J, FBi Radio and BBC 1 (London). Along the way, we’ve been able to share the stage with some incredible artists like Toro Y Moi, Chkchkchk!, Jagwar Ma, Friendly Fires and Parcels.

We recently released our sophomore EP, ‘Skyline’, which was recorded between our beachside music cave in Tamarama, a retro studio in the Byron Bay hinterlands and the sun-dripped haze of Silver Lake, Los Angeles. There are some big collaborations on the record with co-production from Jono Ma of Jagwar Ma as well as Jack Glass and Chris Stracey of Bag Raiders fame.

Our music is best enjoyed on summer evenings, relaxing in a velvet-clad room, looking out over the beach with a cocktail in hand.

MMMF

MMMF is a new project that I started in 2020 with my good friend, Jack Glass of Bag Raiders fame. It’s an experimental jazz, trip-hop project with cinematic leanings. We have an EP that you can be listen to below. We are currently working on a new EP.
